KPK Alumni Shares Anti-Corruption Insights at STIE IEU Surabaya Seminar Mei 11, 2026

The program, a Seminar of Integrity, featured a sole Speaker, Ryan Herviansyah Utama, SE.Ak. M.Sc. CHRMP. as one of KPK (Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission) alumni, and the initiator of integrity development. Located at Jl. Dukuh Kupang No.157B, Pakis, Kec. Sawahan, SBY City, East Java, Dr. Oscarius Y. A. Wijaya, M.H., M.M. as the Chancellor of the STIE IEU Surabaya presented his opening speech at the event. The seminar was held to prevent any corruption tendencies as early as possible, starting from introducing integrity concept to college students.

Campus, a learning medium for the next generation of Indonesians, is encouraged to uphold integrity values, which include honesty, sincerity, as well as a strong-and-bold character. In accordance with the recent development dynamics in the country, a campus should internalize the values ​​of integrity well. Three strategies –strategic thinking, strategic action, strategic learning– are required in developing such values. The seminar was attended by hundreds of students and educational figures from various universities in Surabaya, including, 1). Univ 45: Dr.Ir. Achmad Daengs GS., SE., MM, CPPM; 2). Perbanas: Chancellor Dr. Yudi Sutarso; 3). The Sages Institutes: Mr. Puguh; 4). ASMI: Ramon Syahrial, SP., MM.; 5). Univ. Wijaya Putra: Chancellor Budi Endarto, SH., M.Hum.; and 6). Chancellor of STKIP Bina Insan Mandiri: Dr. Asykuri, M.Pd.

Ryan Herviansyah Utama, the speaker, discussed in detail about corruption, corruptors, as well as ways to strengthen prevention programs which must be realized by heads of local governments, heads of state-owned bodies, and private companies. They have to be aware of the surrounding people’s characters, whether they are prone to be corrupt or not.

According to Ryan Herviansyah, these latent characters could be uncovered very early, “And that was my duty at the KPK, discussing with and aiding the heads of regional government if necessary, basically how to perceive and understand the human’s corruptive tendency,” as he explained in front of the audience.
